Celebrating the success of the stuff we like in independent film is pretty important too. The Retreat is a thriller with a premise and background right up our street. End of the world based premises always float our boat but the fact this was initially picked up from Shooting People's script pitch bulletin.
'If the world ends while you're on holiday, what do you do? This is the question thatThe Retreat asks and we can't wait to find out the answer. The script was sent by Writer/Director Carl Tibbetts to Producer Gary Sinyor via Shooting People five years ago and now this feature starring Thandie Newton, Cillian Murphy and Jamie Bell hits UK and US cinemas this October.'
We missed this when it first came out. But we will be looking out for it on Blu-Ray in the New Year.
